Союзы — это слова, соединяющие слова или группы слов. Выделяют два основных типа союзов — Сочинительные И подчинительные.
- Группа сочинительных союзов Включает: And, Or, But и Nor. Эти союзы соединяют слова, словосочетания и придаточные предложения равные по значимости. В этом случае оба предложения являются главными, и могут употребляться независимо друг от друга.
Пример: | John is running in this race and I am carrying his water bottle | Джон участвует в гонке, а я ношу его бутылку с водой |
Каждая из частей независима от другой и может употребляться отдельно: John is running in this race. I am carrying his water bottle |
