What? Why? When?

Данная игра улучшает понимание различия между двумя настоящими временами Continuous и Indefinite. Суть: создать ситуацию, где бы наглядно ощущалась эта разница?
Teacher: Katya, what am I doing?
Katya: Ah, again you are picking flowers.

Teacher: Yes, again. And why?
Katya: Because you like them.
Teacher: Yes, very. And what season is it?
Lena: It is summer.
Teacher: Why do you think it is summer?
Andrei: Because flowers grow in summer.

Итак, опять игра, построенная на театрализации. Играть и при этом вести параллельно беседу — всегда очень трудно для учителя. Но трудности окупаются результатом. Со времени ребята сами начинают играть маленькие этюды, а учитель принимает роль регулятора, обращая внимание учеников на разницу в употреблении двух временных форм.
Pavel is washing.
Teacher: What is Pavel doing?
Andrei: He is washing.
Teacher: What time of the day is it?
Masha: It is morning because people always wash in the morning.
Oleg: It is morning because Pavel is washing his neck, and we wash our necks in the morning.
Ann is eating. Teacher: What is she doing?
Jane: She is eating.
Teacher: What time of the day is it?
Lena: It is afternoon. She is eating soup and people eat soup in the afternoon.

Темы для этюдов: The pupil is watering flowers, drinking hot tea, dressing, skiing, playing snowballs, digging a flowerbed, catching fish, sawing wood, feeding birds, etc.
